Daycare FAQ's

What vaccines are required for my dog to play at Wags n Wiggles?

Dogs must be at least 4 months of age and have completed their vaccines and boosters. Every dog must be vaccinated for Rabies, Parvo, Distemper and Bordatella (kennel cough). (We do need copies for our files). Although Vets typically give Bordatella (kennel cough vaccine) once per year, we recommend dogs get a booster at 6 months.

Why does my dog need a behavior assessment?

Every dog that comes in (whether for boarding or daycare) must complete a behavior assessment. Please give us a call to schedule your dogs assessment.  You must fill out an application and provide proof of vaccines. The behavior assessment typically takes about two hours (you leave your dog with us). This gives us an opportunity to get to know your dog and to introduce them to other dogs slowly. There is a $20.00 charge for the assessment.

Are dogs required to be spayed/neutered?

Because safety is our top priority, we do require dogs that are more than 6 months to be spayed/neutered. We will sometimes make an exception for large breed dogs up to one year depending on the dogs temperament. Management will make this determination.

Why can't I bring my dog in and out of Wags n Wiggles with a retractable leash?

This policy is in place for the safety of both the dog and the humans. Dogs are excited when they are at Wags n Wiggles and can get wound around furniture/displays, etc. They are also more likely to be able to approach another dog in the lobby if the owner does not have control of their dog. We request that you use a regular 4-6 ft leash when entering or exiting the premises.

Can my dog eat lunch while at daycare?

We prefer not to feed the dogs during daycare, however, we can put the dogs in a kennel for lunch time if need be. Normally the dogs will not eat because they are in a hurry to get back in the playroom. We do charge a $3.00 per meal fee if your dog needs to eat while attending daycare.

Do I need a reservation for daycare?

Currently we do not require a reservation for daycare services. You are welcome to drop off anytime we are open for business.

Are there any breed restrictions?

No, we welcome all breeds. We do, however require that all dogs successfully complete our behavior assessment.

What time can I drop my dog off for daycare?

We are open Monday - Friday 6:30am to 6:30pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
